Isabel Mellén holds a PhD in Philosophy from UNIZAR and a degree in Art History from UNED. She is currently a professor of Philosophy at both universities and coordinator of university extension at UNED Vitoria-Gasteiz. Her research deals with image theory and Romanesque art from a gender perspective. She wrote a book about this last topic: “Tierra de Damas. Las mujeres que construyeron el románico en el País Vasco”. She is also a cultural manager and disseminator, focusing mainly on the dissemination of women’s history. She collaborates with several radio stations in the Basque Country and directs and presents two podcasts: “El podcast de Sancho el Sabio” on Basque culture and “Divulvadoras de la Historia” on history with a gender perspective.
