Alba Jimeno Ruiz de Larrinaga is a student of the PHD program in Comparative Literature of the University of the Basque Country. After finishing her degree on English Studies with a minor on Literature at the same university, she went on to complete the master’s program on Comparative Literature and Literary studies on the University of the Basque Country too, her thesis being a study of the adaptations and original text of The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson from a queer and feminist perspective. She afterwards completed a master’s program on Secondary School Teaching on the UEU, her thesis dealing with the study of literature from a methodological perspective. She is currently working on her PhD dissertation delving into the study of the relationship in between queerness and cannibalism through several English texts and hopes to continue working with more speculative fiction in the near future.
