Carlos Parra Navarro is the current president of the Spanish Tolkien Society, a non-profit cultural association founded in 1991 with the aim of disseminating the life and work of J.R.R. Tolkien, the father of modern fantasy.
With almost 30 delegations all over Spain and 20 work commissions in charge of deepening in different aspects of Tolkien’s legendarium, recently the STE, after reaching 1,000 members, consolidated itself as the third largest Tolkien Society in the world behind the English Tolkien Society and the German Tolkien Gesellschaft.
As president of the STE and head of the board of directors, he is ultimately responsible for coordinating the work of the various delegations and working committees, ensuring the greatest possible number of cultural events both locally and nationally.
