Alfonso Berroya Elosua studied Fine Arts at the University of the Basque Country, where he graduated in 2009.
In 2011 he began working as a Concept Artist for the video game “Battle For Gea”, of which he would later become art director until 2013. In 2013, he published the videogame “Tales of Ureshii” for the Amorebieta City Council together with the indie studio “Ala Oeste”, working as art director, concept art, illustration and sprite animation.
In 2014 he published the comic book “Érase una vez un Cuento”, with Sauré publishing house, working as a cartoonist and colourist. From 2014 to 2017 he worked as art director, illustrator and concept artist for the video game “White Spell”, by Hunters of Magic Studios. At the same time he works as a freelance illustrator and concept artist for different projects until today.
In terms of training, he founded the high-performance centre “Centro Pixels” in 2014, where he directs and teaches 2D, concept art and digital illustration, until his entry into the university in 2019.
He received his PhD in 2017, with research focused on the professionalisation and state of the industry in the comic, illustration, film and video game sectors. Since then, she combines research with participation in advanced courses in environment concept art and character art, as well as participating in various international conferences on architecture and building engineering.
