Dr. Andoni Cossio is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of the Basque Country
(UPV/EHU), and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Glasgow. He is sponsored by a Next Generation EU Margarita Salas postdoctoral grant, financed by the Ministry of Universities (Government of Spain) and the European Union, and by the research group REWEST (IT-1026-16), funded by the Basque Government and UPV/EHU. His doctoral thesis is entitled The Evolution of J. R. R. Tolkien’s Ecological Perspective through the Portrayal of Trees and Forests: From The Hobbit to The Lord of the Rings (2022), and his publications focus on nature and medieval influences in Tolkien’s oeuvre.
