The philosopher, art historian and communicator Isabel Mellén is a specialist in medieval art in Alava, which she studies from a gender perspective. She has several publications on this subject, such as Guía del Románico en Álava y Treviño, La ciudad perdida. Historia cultural del desaparecido convento de San Francisco de Vitoria-Gasteiz and Tierra de damas: las mujeres que construyeron el románico en el País Vasco. Together with Enrique Echazarra, she has carried out several initiatives that combine history with the world of mystery and legend.
