Maitane Echevarria Aguirre holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Art and Design (2017) from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), for which she was awarded an Extraordinary Prize by the Academic Affairs Committee of the University Council. She received a grant for a Master’s Degree in Research and Creativity in Art (2018) from the same university. In 2018, she won a Fulbright Scholarship to study for an MFA in Animation at Savannah College of Art and Design with particular emphasis on 3D character animation. She has been a full-time professor in the Drawing Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at UPV/EHU since 2021, where she is working in her PhD.
